About
I attended The American Academy of Art in Chicago, with an emphasis on illustration supplemented with courses in painting and photography. After two years at the Academy I moved on to Northern Illinois University for advanced classes in illustration and design. While a student there I landed my first illustration project for a book series published by Dungeons & Dragons. This quickly led to assignments for more cover art, interior illustrations, posters and eventually game and toy design. I steadily built my body of work with projects for clients as diverse as Disney Consumer Products, MCA/Universal, Nickelodeon, Pixar, 20th Century Fox and Wizards of The Coast. I worked and watched as the industry morphed and grew. I learned much from these projects, accruing priceless knowledge and experience so needed when creating for today’s entertainment industry. Over the years I’ve worked with some truly talented people, most of whom I am still in contact with and consider good friends. I live in the western suburbs of Chicago with my wife Michelle and daughters Sadie and Genevieve.
